Created by Adam Brown, the Isis Conceptual Laboratory was a space dedicated to exploring the mystery of Isis, an Egyptian goddess whose spirit was captured in the form of a bronze statue located on the grounds of Herbert Hoover National Park.

Adam Brown is an internationally-recognized, conceptually-driven artist whose work incorporates art and science hybrids that include robotics, molecular chemistry and emerging technologies in the form of installation, interactive objects, video, performance and photography.

From 2000-2009, Brown was on the faculty of the University of Oklahoma, where he developed an electronic art program named Symbiotic Media. In 2009, he joined the faculty of Michigan State University, where he is now developing a new area of study called Electronic Art & Intermedia.
